There is a girl who is pretty but dumb. She has friends who use her for her popularity and her beauty. One evening they are revising in the library when the girl decides to go to the toilet. She is washing her hands and when she looks up into the mirror she sees that it has writing on it. She gets scared so she decides to look in all the cubicles to see if there’s anyone there. The doors start acting spooky and opening up when there’s no one there. She then looks into the other classrooms and sees that there’s no one there either. She goes off to find her friends. Getting frightened she starts running down the stairs and can hear footsteps so goes even faster. She stops to see if she can hear the footsteps but can’t so walks slowly. But she starts hearing the footsteps again so starts running off again. When she gets to the library she sees that her friends are gone but left her a note telling her to meet up in their usual spot. When she gets there they aren’t there either so she starts panicking. Suddenly something comes up behind her and the next thing you see she is on the floor dead. The screen then goes blank and then the scene goes back to the mirrors in the toilet with the words ‘choose your friends wisely.’ Then the credits roll

Props and Costumes
- The props and costumes we will use are school uniform, reading books, mirrors, black clothing, knife, mask, fake blood and scary costume preferably from the drama department.
- We need school uniform as most of the scenes are set in the school and the characters are school girls. Also because we will be filming a lot during lesson time, it is sensible to just wear our school uniforms.
- We will need the knife as the murder weapon and the mask and black/scary costume for the killer.
- The fake blood is for after the victim gets killed as we need the blood to show that she has died.
- The mirrors are for the warning message that is written on there.
Settings for our horror movie
The stairs that we use to go upstairs in the west blocks. This is because you can manipulate the camera work and make it seem creepy and a bad place. We could zoom p to the character and film the stairs making it look endless. We could also film outside the windows when it is dark as there is nothing outside of it other than building and the work that the builders are doing. This is a good convention as stairs can be seen as a place of fear because sometimes, if you’re on your own, you’re just stuck with your thoughts and you’re own thoughts can creep you out. We could have a scene where the character is going up the stairs and they think someone is there so get scared. We can also have someone sneak up on them and scare them, either another character or the creature.
Drama theatre /studio. Because they’re dark so we can use them to our advantage. Also behind the benches there is a lot of dark spaces so we can use that to add a sense of fear. The whole theatre is dark as well so we can use that as an effect rather than a location.
We could use the corridors in the temporary buildings as it is a bit like a maze. This can be used in a chase scene.
Mirrors in the toilets as you can use them for manipulation with double images/meanings. Also because you can play around with the camera angles and change them around. Another reason why we chose the mirrors is because it is an iconic objects that appear in almost all horror movies.
Doors because it gives a sense of curiosity, as you can be looking at the door and wondering what might be coming in. also some doors are creaky so if it is quiet and you hear a noise you will get scared. Also there are gaps between doors when you open them so anything can come in, and ghosts have shadows so they can go through it

Lifts as they are the most scariest elements of a horror movie. The smallness or the largeness of the space can be used to add to the scary effect. We can also use the gap in between the floor and the lift. We can also use the gap in between the door where all the wires are as it is creepy and a lot of dark spaces.
The library because it is a quiet place and we can use the quietness as scary because some people are scared of loneliness and as it is quiet in there, we can make noises and use special effects so that the place looks scary.

Mise-en-scene
As soon as the video starts, you see lot's of high-tech technology, like a computer and a keyboard. There is also a recording set. This shows that the artist is really rich and has their own recording set at home, so they don't need to go to a studio to record songs. The shot is extreme close-up of the artists face, showing his facial expressions. The artist is dressed in a hoodie and high-tops. He's dressed in the lastest fashion, because the video is set in a local area, not in a exotic country, or in New York or something. He's walking down a street, that has graffited walls and looks like its in an estate. This is because he is young and you wouldn't expect to find them in another country. He is with a group of friends, making it look like he is well known and everyone knows his name. It is promoting him as an artist. In the club, there is low lighting, and the only source of light is from a few on small one in the ceiling.

My 5 favourite music videos
I really like this song because it shows the people having fun and hanging out, which is what most normal teenagers usually do. It represents them in a way that isn't stereo-typical,but isn't such a lie either. The setting is also a typical place where teenagers might hang out, not in a really posh house in America or something like that, which not many normal teenagers would be found. The shots and angles are also good because they vary, they aren't repeated all the time, with one type of shot only.
I like this video because the intro is very good, it really tells a storyand is very interesting. The fact that it is set as if its the end of the world makes it seem that they only want to spend it with that one special person, which is what I would do if I knew it was the end of the world. The lyrics also adds to this because that is what they are saying.
I really like this video because of hte fact that its from their tour. It shows the dedication of their fans. Also because of the fact that it was live so it's them performing, not a music video. Although it was released as a music video. It shows them at their best, doing what they love the most, which is singing, to their fans. They are just meant to be 5 normal boys singing, enjoying themselves, not being someone fake or anything.

magazine analysis 2
Magazine analysis: Grazia magazine
Target audience profile:
The target audience is women aged 25-40. This is because it talks more about older women, which appeals to them. They are mainly business-women, with a busy lifestyle. They have families which they have to care for, so are very family-oriented. The magazine can be seen as a way to get away from all of this and be in their own world, and have a bit of peace. They like hosting dinner parties on the weekends, and also spending time with their friends. They have a very active lifestyle.
Masthead:
The masthead is bold and simple. It is white, which is in contrast to the bright colours that are around it. This can represent that the women who read this may lead a busy and glamorous lifestyle, but inside they may feel dull and empty. It can also mean that they are brave and independent, as the letters are thick and spaced out from each other, indicating the independence.
Image:
The main image is set of Jennifer Aniston. She is looking directly into the camera. I think she is the main image because she is a good role model, and also, her story is very famous, and everyone is talking about what happened to her. Also, the audience will be able to relate to her story, as they might have had, or are at the moment, experiencing that problem. Also, you can see from her face that she looks upset and that she might cry. This makes us feel sorry for her and hate the person who did this to her.
Layout:
The layout is very cluttered. This shows that the audience that read this have a busy lifestyle. They don’t have time for anything and are always rushing around. They lives are action-packed and busy. Also, there are words popping out, which might connote that they have to always gop places and rush around.
Colour scheme:
The main colour schemes for this magazine are yellow, blue and white. The yellow makes the words be noticeable, like they are highlighted, and connotes that the words in yellow are the keywords. The colours also represent summer, even though the issue is in November. The white makes the words bolder and your eyes go straight to them. The blue gives the magazine a sense of grace and seems to calm the crazy layout. They are quite feminine colours, because the audience is female.
Sell lines:
The sell lines are about fashion, boyfriends, real life issues and celebrity gossip. The fashion topic is called, “Versace hits H&M!” this gets the audience exited, as they don’t have to go to a designer shop and waste money, they just have to go to the high street to get what they want, for a cheap price. Also, they won’t have to save for something designer, but for something ideal, like family holidays. Another sell line is, “Showdown. Jen’s tearful meeting with Justin’s ex.” This is also the headlines. The way they wrote it out makes the audience feel sorry for her and some can also relate to her. It also makes it look as if her boyfriends ex was the reason why she is so upset. Also because the writing is in front of her it connotates that the topic is more important than her. The other 2 have the words, “Shock truth,” and “Cat face.” this makes the audience want to read these articles, because they want to know about these shocking things.
Top banner:
The top banner says, “A Lorra Lorra tantrums! Meet the desperate scousewives.” This is talking about a new T.V show but the audience doesn’t know. This makes them wonder what it’s about so they would go to that page. Also as it is in white, in capitals and above the masthead, it makes you look at it straight away.
Secondary image:
One secondary image is of Kylie Minogue. I think they photo shopped her because she looks like she has had Botox or it could be that she actually got Botox. Also the image relates to the story, which is about plastic surgery. It makes her look scary which might connote the meaning that plastic surgery is very dangerous and can cause people to their natural beauty. This is giving a moral message to the readers, which they should think about and use.
